Learn the skills and build the confidence to assist other divers
Most divers say this is the most enjoyable course of them all on Malapascua. Now that you are an Advanced Open Water Diver, and are more confident in the water, you can direct your awareness towards the wellbeing of others. You will build on your observation skills and learn rescue and first aid skills. Your confidence in the water will increase tremendously as you learn to care for yourself and help other divers.
During this course you will encounter realistic rescue scenarios, and you will learn how to effectively manage these situations. You will become competent in the most important rescue skill of all: anticipation and prevention of problems.
You will find out that there is no one way to solve a problem, and you will learn how to decide and act on the best solution in any situation.
Doing the rescue on malapascua
TSD is a great place to do your Rescue Diver course. We believe it is one of the most important courses you will ever do, and so make sure we are very thorough during the course. For instance, we will repeat exercises for as long as you feel you need and ensure that when you complete the course you will feel competent in your skills.
The Rescue Diver Course takes minimum 2 days, but we usually spend longer, depending on your schedule.
As a bonus, given the shark dive is so early, you can even fit in a sneaky thresher dive each morning before your course starts!
